Steps to Paint an Interior Room

The steps to paint an interior room seem straightforward, but there are more steps than you may realize. From the first preparation to the final coat of paint, you’ll want to make sure the job is done right. While doing it yourself is an option, we’d love to make your life easier by doing it for you!

You’ll need to clear the room as much as possible before we begin our work. The second step to paint is to cover the floor and any furniture to protect them from paint splatters. Once the room is protected, the surface of the walls need to be prepared by patching, sanding, and caulking. When it’s time to paint, we mask the windows and tape edges where necessary. Our prepwork for painting jobs is of utmost importance to make sure your property is not damaged in any way!

Ceilings are painted first, then trim, then the walls. If primer is needed, we will apply that before the final coat of paint in whatever beautiful color you choose. We are always happy to answer questions and will take you through the steps to paint an interior or exterior project if you need more explanation!
